4 words: Blackberry. Lemon. Ice. Cream.

There are two kinds of people in this world when it comes to dessert: 1) those who, like me, require some form of chocolate to even merit being called a dessert and 2) fruit eaters.  Yes, you know who you are, forgoing the brownie sundae option on the menu in favor of the "medley of seasonal fruit".  ::sigh::  I speak from experience.  Yes, I am married to a fruit eater.

Luckily, I am the primary cook in our household and usually plan desserts according to my taste (hello, chocolate chip/walnut blondies).  But every now and then I come across a non-chocolate recipe that even I can't help but to try out.  This is one of them.

For the record, I didn't realize until after I took these pics that my nail polish was almost identical in color to this ice cream.  Purely coincidence, I swear!

This recipe is from Food52.com.  It was so easy and only has 4 ingredients!  I made it with lemon juice as per the recipe but I'm sure lime would taste great too.  Maybe add some blueberries?  Anyway, my husband, being the fruit eater he is, was subject to being my taste tester, as he usually is.  Poor thing.

The result?  It's a keeper!  The citrus lightens it up but the condensed milk makes it super creamy.  My other half is happy to eat it as is, but me?  I have to add a little something to mine ;)  Gotta stay true to myself, right?

What about you?  When it comes to desserts, are you #teamchocolate or #teamfruit?
