7 Stylish Snow Boots (You Actually Want to Wear)

Here in NYC, the snow is gently falling leaving a fresh white coat on the streets outside.  It's beautiful.....for now.  We all know what happens next.  As soon as we burrow out of our little caves (ok, apartments) that pristine scene turns into a big slushy mess.  This calls for some serious footwear.  But let's be honest, snow boots aren't exactly the most attractive items in your shoe closet (if they even make it into your closet!).  Am I right, ladies?

Luckily, I've found some pairs that won't put a damper on your snow day style.

1. Rodway Women's Winter Boots from Aldo, $50 (on sale)

I like how these very much resemble regular sneakers but with a thicker sole and faux shearling band around the ankle.

2. Snap To It Duck Boots from GoJane, $30

The rubber bottoms cover the entire foot (not just the soles) so your feet are sure to stay dry in these.  The red laces and faux fur make these boots stand out.

3.  Athletec Women's Antonia Snow Boot from Kmart, $35

I like the simplicity of these.  The thick laces and D ring lace holes give added interest to this boot.

4.  Mad Love Women's Wanda Shearling Style Boots from Target, $38

These neutral-toned boots are so chic.  Probably not the best for heavy snow days but are great when it's just a light dusting  :)  Best part: wrap around laces.  I want these now!

5. Monsoon Rain Boot from Payless, $25

Technically, these are rain boots and generally I'm not the biggest fan of this style since they can be a little clunky to walk in.  BUT, they are perfect for navigating tall snow drifts and even better for those slush puddles- you know, the ones that form at the corner of every intersection and are too big to go around.  The ones you thought were only an inch or two deep...until you stepped in it and found yourself ankle deep in freezing, dirty snow water.  Yeah.  These are perfect for that.

6.  Athletec's Tamika Faux Fur Snow Boot from Kmart, $35

Again, these are probably for lighter snow but I love the hounds tooth on these.

7. Tread Climber Denim Duck Boot from GoJane, $28

I love this style.  It comes in red and black too but I love the denim because it is so unexpected.  But it looks great with the brown patent rubber bottoms.  The padded cuff, sturdy laces and wrap-around ankle strap are added bonuses.

As you can see, all of these styles are under $50 so they won't break the bank.  Who knew snow boots could look so cute?  Maybe now they'll be allowed in the shoe closet with all the others?  Here's hoping!

Stay warm everyone!

xoxo
